Asmah Alias is the General Manager of the Malay Heritage Centre (MHC) and the Malay Heritage Foundation in Singapore, where she oversees divisions such as curatorial, programming, education, outreach, and operations. With a background as the former Deputy Director of Education & Community Outreach at the National Heritage Board, Singapore, she led initiatives to bring heritage education beyond museum walls, engaging schools and communities. Her leadership has garnered recognition, including consecutive Best Practice Awards from the International Council of Museums’ Committee for Education & Cultural Action (ICOM CECA). As a board member of ICOM CECA, Asmah continues to champion the development of museum education and cultural action.
